Cafe Manager
Full-time position
Reporting to:
Operations Manager
Our cafe managers oversee all aspects of the cafe’s operations Including preparation and selling of food and drinks, hiring and scheduling staff, menu planning, and maintaining inventory. Additionally, the manager will coordinate with vendors, monitor budgets, and work to improve profit margins.
The responsibilities of a cafe manager include, but are not limited to, working closely in a supervisory role with staff members, overseeing scheduling, monitoring productivity, and providing feedback to ensure that staff are providing the best experience possible to customers. Additionally, a cafe manager must monitor budgets, including expenses, sales, and profit margins. They also track and maintain inventory to ensure that supplies are available as needed.
A successful cafe manager will have experience working in various roles within a coffee shop and be available to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. The goal of the cafe manager is to increase the profit margins of their coffee shop and to establish a loyal customer base to make the cafe a local hotspot for the community.
More specifically at Artfix our managers work closely with the events manager and help planning and delivering our events, exhibitions, workshops, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in the food or hospitality industry with managerial / supervisory experience
- Good knowledge of regulations concerning food health and safety.
- Proven management skills with exemplary organisational, time management, communication, customer service and excellent staff management skills.

Chef
Full time position
Reporting to:
Cafe Manager / Operations Manager
Our Chef will be in charge of preparation of all the food at our Kidbrooke location and help with the preparation for the other locations. Will require to work independently and with great initiative.
Main Tasks:
- Food preparation and ensuring standard portions and quality control of all dishes
- Keeping up with industry trends and creating new recipes with our cafe managers and operations manager
- Stock control and be in charge of orders for the kitchen
- Training new staff
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen and ensuring sanitation practices in the kitchen
Job Requirements
- Experience working in a professional kitchen
- Good knowledge of different cuisines
- Excellent knowledge of food and health safety procedures

Barista
Full-time and part-time positions
Reporting to:
Cafe Manager
As the Artfix barista, you will create the Artfix experience for our customers by providing unique and personalised customer service from the preparation of food to serving and interacting with the customers, who come to our spaces expecting more than a cup of coffee.
Prompt service, good quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.
Your responsibilities would be to prepare and serve drinks in our coffee shop. You are also responsible for performing cashier duties and food preparation.
As we grow our staff grows with us and there will be opportunities to progress and use your skills the best possible way.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in the food or hospitality industry in a similar role.
- Excellent customer service and the ability to make clients feel special.
- A passion for coffee and an eagerness to learn about food and drinks.

Volunteer / Intern opportunities
Community Project Assistance
– To organise and assist in scheduling community project workshops, events and exhibitions
– To work with artists in workshop sessions and assist in administering and engaging artistic workshop sessions for locals
– To assist in setting up possible exhibitions towards the end of the project to showcase the work
