Jazz, blues, folk and more with

‘Stella and her Fellas’ 

Stella Benavides has been singing jazz for many years, based largely in the Greenwich area.  She is a member of the Covent Garden based Club for Acts and Actors, where she performs regularly at their member’s nights, and has had the opportunity to sing with many of the country’s greatest jazz musicians at their booked out jazz evenings. ‘Stella & Her Fellas’ was established in 2016, although the name is relatively new, and enjoys a monthly residency at a Greenwich pub, with the trio there being joined by Tony Edwards on percussion.

Simon Goodwin is a Greenwich based jazz blues and folk guitarist and MD. Having played semi professionally for many years, in 2020 he completed a B Mus full time performance degree at LCCM, where he met and started playing regularly with bassist Andy Richardson. Now engaged full time in music, Simon divides his playing and arranging time between the MH Blue Note Quintet, Tyger Tyger, Manouche Reimagined, and Stella and her Fellas. He also organises the bi- monthly SWOP sessions at Mycenae House, and is a co-convener of the weekly Blackheath Folk Club. 

Andy Richardson started out as a front man for funk bands before he became part of house music duo Druw and Perez. They worked with the cream of UK soul singers and signed singles and an album on various labels and got airplay on radio 1. 

In 2016 Andy decided he wanted to become a better bass player and studied music at LCCM, specialising in jazz. He now plays with various jazz bands including a couple with Simon Goodwin who he met at LCCM. He’s also working on his third solo album as Sunwalker, which he writes, produces, plays and sings for.
