Music Fix – No Distance Records present
Evening Sessions @Artfix Woolwich
Featuring
Try Happy, Big Camo, Anolah
Join us as the evening turns into the night at the VERY FIRST No Distance Record’s evening session gig at Artfix in Woolwich.
Try Happy is the musical project of London-based Glaswegian Fraser Parry and a number of his very talented friends and associates.
Comprising between one and eight musicians depending on who’s available, their songs tell stories of having too much fun, uninhibited solipsism, and the inexorable passage of time.
Their debut album, Best Laid Plans, is self-funded, self-produced, self-released and self-indulgent, and is available May 2023 through Bandcamp. They hope you like it.
Big Camo will be taking a break from their old school proto punk for an intimate acoustic jazzy/gothic americana sound equally close to their hearts.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of JJ Cale, Gram Parsons, Jonathan Richman and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, their soft, ethereal sound will let you float away into the night.
Anolah is a singer/songwriter with a variety of influences resulting in an eclectic collection of original material.
She combines soulful tones with a temperamental guitar that changes moods throughout her set making for an enjoyable and entertaining show.
You won’t be able to get her powerful, Amy Winehouse-esque voice out of your head…and you won’t want to.
