Marc Blake: Resurgam
A Return to Painting π¨β¨
After decades away from the canvas, artist Marc Blake returns with Resurgamβa collection of works created during Lockdown in Brighton, marking his artistic resurgence. The exhibition title, meaning I will rise again, is inspired by a Roman gravestone fragment discovered during the reconstruction of St. Paulβs Cathedral, a symbol of rebirth and renewalβa theme that echoes in Blakeβs own artistic journey.
Now back in South East London, Marc is turning his focus to painting and sketching Greenwich and the surrounding area, with works available for viewing, prints, and commissions.

About the Artist: Marc Blake
Marc Blake BA (Hons) studied Fine Art at Ravensbourne College of Art & Design and Goldsmiths, University of London. He exhibited widely across the UK, securing solo shows in Shropshire and Kensington before stepping away from painting at age 28.
True to his promise, he didnβt pick up a brush again until he turned 60. His artistic reawakening began in Lockdown, and Resurgam is the result of those first steps back into creativity. Now based in Greenwich, Marc continues to explore new inspirations and is available for commissions.
