About the Teacher
Disha Trivedi is an Indian artist, entrepreneur, and glass recycling crusader who is making a difference in the world through her work. She is the founder of Disha Trivedi Designs, a company that creates sustainable products from waste glass & hand block printed products which are made out of natural dyes. She has also been teaching kids and adults different forms of art such as painting, block printing, sketching, art history for the last 8 years in India and UK. Disha loves to impart her art knowledge to everyone around and spread joy through art, but also DBS certified and always happy to welcome children into her classes.
In addition to her work, Trivedi is also an accomplished artist who has exhibited her work in British Glass Biennale 2022, Irish Glass Biennale 2023, Bulgaria Glass Biennale 2023.
Overall, Disha Trivedi is an inspiring figure who is using her creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for sustainability to make a positive impact in the world.
About the Workshop
Welcome to fun block printing workshop! Get ready to learn about this traditional art form and create beautiful prints using carved blocks.
In this workshop, I will guide you through the process of creating unique designs and patterns that reflect your personal style.
You will be provided with all the necessary materials, including printing blocks, ink, fabric, and paper. As an experienced instructor Disha will teach you how to choose colours and transfer the design onto the fabric or paper and also encourage you to experiment with different patterns and techniques to create your own unique designs.
You will learn about colour theory, composition, and layering techniques in order to make your prints more interesting and visually appealing. This workshop is designed to be a fun and collaborative experience. You will have the opportunity to work together with your fellow participants, share your ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences. And at the end of the workshop, you can take your prints home to showcase your work or gift them to your loved ones. Join me for this fun and inspiring block printing workshop and discover the joy of creating beautiful prints that reflect your personal style and creativity.
