André GENTIL-KRAATZ
André is a German and British street photographer and urban landscape artist based in London. Having moved to London in 2014, Andrébalances a career in finance with a passion for capturing the city’s dynamic essence through thelens.
With a photography journey that began 17 years ago in the Netherlands, André has always sought artistic outlets to express creativity. Specialising in black and white photography, André believes that colour can often distract from the true subject, allowing urban life’s raw emotions and stories to shine through.
This is André’s first exhibition, exhibiting with his wife, Annie Gentil-Kraatz.

Annie GENTIL-KRAATZ
Annie is a French and British artist and photographer based in London.
As an artist, she is interested in personal themes such as pain and resilience, emotions, relationships, and vulnerabilities.
As a photographer, she thrives on human interactions, so she enjoys documentary, event and portrait photography.
Initially trained as a Linguist and a language Teacher (BA and MA in French and Linguistics, PGCE, CELTA), she started learning about photography because she wanted to use her own photographs on her teaching website.
From 2001 to 2020, she completed various photography and art courses and got particularly interested in conceptual art and photography.
In 2022, she completed a photography MA (with Merit) with the University of Falmouth in Cornwall, UK. Her main MA projects focused on social documentary and portrait photography. she explored the theme of racism and, for one module, worked in collaboration with Nawroz Oramarî, a Kurdish singer, to produce a photo-book, combining his words with her photographs.
After the Photography MA, she needed time to reflect on her practice and started photographing the local area: the Thames River, the local shopkeepers and everyday life. She was looking for emotions in every aspect of life: landscapes, flowers and people. Her idea is that when we look around, our emotions are everywhere, and nothing can really be neutral.
So far, her pictures have been published on the Daily Telegraph website, the Sunday Mirror Notebook supplement, the Pick Me Up magazine, the BBC News, The View from the Shard, Tortz, Reventure and EPP websites, the French travel guide Petit Futé Rome 2020, the SOAS website (and newsletter) and the German newspapers Frankfurter Rundschau and Westfälische Nachrichten, as well as on her own website FrenchWorldOnline.com.
She has exhibited in the Espacio, artFix 2022, Cowcross, 1885, Lauderdale, and RK Burt galleries in London and the Fotoklub Gallery in Split, Croatia.
In 2023, she exhibited in Klose and Soan and The Watergate as part of the Deptford X Fringe Art Festival.
She is also currently available for portrait photoshoots and local event photography. Don’t hesitate to contact her.
