About the Artist:
Fatma Durmush’s work is driven by a lifelong fascination with the “enslaving” power of celebrity culture. For Fatma, celebrities aren’t just figures on a screen; they are internal forces that offer a shield against the dullness of poverty and the complexities of the ordinary world.
Through her work, she challenges the “madness” of the everyday, inviting the viewer to see the world as she does: a place where the famous might just be the ones to save us all.
