‘Children without childhood’

During the event, actors of different ages will perform live, presenting ‘Children without childhood’ a new play with a contemporary focus, written by Federica Pannocchia.

Through the lives of children of the past and present, the play explores different situations, encouraging us to reflect on inclusion and the importance of being seen and heard.

Cast: Amy Forde, Aaral Shrivastava, Romilly Glover, Alliyah Liskowacka, Glory Odeniyi, Evie Bolton, Fanny Prade, Gold Odeniyi.

Workshop

Non-profit ‘Un ponte per Anne Frank’ (translated in English as ‘A bridge to Anne Frank’)

‘A bridge to Anne Frank’ is a registered non-profit founded by Federica Pannocchia. It is the Italian partner of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. Its aim is to encourage to learn from the errors of the past to build a better society today. It also provides assistance to children in need. The non-profit collaborates with Holocaust Survivors and different Foundations. It runs numerous educational projects fighting against racism, violence, bullying, indifference, and discrimination.

BIOGRAPHIES

Federica Pannocchia

When I was 13 years old, I read the book ‘Anne Frank: the diary of a young girl’ and I immediately felt very close to Anne Frank’s values. Today I am the executive director of the non-profit ‘Un ponte per Anne Frank’ (translated in English as ‘A bridge to Anne Frank). It is the Italian partner of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

My non-profit collaborates with schools, Holocaust Survivors and Museums through meetings, workshops and more.

I also am a script writer and in 2020 I had the idea of the short film ‘Il nostro nome è Anna’ (translated as ‘Our name is Anna’) that later has been produced by two Italian professional movie productions. It premiered in London in January 2023.

I am the writer and the director of the play ‘Children without childhood’.

I live in London and I daily fight to build a better world.

Melissa Hurry

Melissa is an award winning screenwriter and filmmaker. She is also a qualified script reader and consultant, and collaborates with film festivals as part of the script consulting and jury committee. Melissa has also been selected and won awards at multiple film festivals around the world for both of her shorts “Maybe It’s Not…” and “How It Is…”. Currently, she has started working on her new project, “The Beginning…”

Melissa also had a YouTube show and podcast which focused on promoting creative talent in the media and entertainment industries. 

Melissa has a strong passion for well-being, diversity in film and media, and a drive for creating a more ethical way of working within the industry. Her mission is to ensure that creativity is produced in the most positive environments for everyone.
