10:00 am - 2:00 pm
This unique workshop for children between the ages of 7 to 11 is four weeks long and is designed to promote positive mental health through creativity and inspiration.
Kids will learn valuable expertise to obtain positive friendships, positive self-esteem, emotional regulation, how to handle bullies, conflict resolution, and the importance of mindfulness. These skills will be taught through art, games, strength-based activities, theatre, and crafts.
Some of the highlights of the workshop will include: collaging a rose and thorn thought journal (using magazine clippings and mod podge), creating a volcano using (baking soda, vinegar), painting on canvases, participating in funny skits, and decorating clay pots and planting seeds.
All activities are supervised by adults in a number that meets that UK standard child-to-adult ratio. All of our employees/volunteers have current up to date DBS checks and first aid training. Parents have the option to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and wait at the café during the workshop or they can pick up their children at 1:00 pm when the workshop is over.
“Embark on a creative journey of self-discovery”
Every child is unique and colourful in their own way. This workshop is aspired to empower children to embrace their humour and guide them to find their own strengths.
