Soul Melody | Solo Exhibition by Bozena Koj
The “Soul Melody Exhibition” is dedicated to all people who are present in my life.
I do believe that everyone has a purpose in life and the melody of the soul which needs to be sung by one to create fulfilment in one’s everyday life. My purpose is definitely painting and drawing.
It is a way to express myself and my vision of beauty and excellence of the world around me. Sharing my passion with others is the main key to my creation. I am inspired by nature and enjoy adding some imaginary details to it. Colours are very important in my work and my artwork demonstrates this fact. I love to explore the mixed media oil technique in my artwork.
The whole process of creating a piece of art is, therefore, a source of personal satisfaction and fulfilment to me. I hope that people who see my artwork at the exhibition will find some inspiration, feel the good energy and enjoy watching my paintings as much as I did painting them.
Bozena Koj was born in Poland in 1976. She came to England in 2004. It is hard to say when exactly she discovered her passion for art. She has been drawing ever since she can remember and painting in oil since her teenage days. In early 2012 she signed up for ‘Drawing and Painting’ course at Morley College. It was there that under the mentorship of Denzil Forest, she developed new techniques and ways of painting.
The classes gave her the opportunity to work with others who shared her passion. She studied in Denzil’s class for 3 years. After leaving Morley College, she has been working at home; finding painting and drawing as a way of calming her mind and expressing her soul, filling her heart with blissful joy.
