Our lives today are full of distractions and endless list of things to do.
Sometimes it can be difficult to unwind even in our spare time.
The Art of Relaxing uses mindfulness art techniques and exercises to help you de-stress. They are designed to help you stay in the here-and-now (especially as our minds are forever jumping to things we feel we should have done or should do).
Each workshop will include:
* A mindfulness theme unique to each workshop
* A guided meditation
* Mindful art-making exercises (which are easy to repeat at home)
* Time to talk and share your mindful experience
* Inspiring mindful readings
You do not have to be good at art to join in – just come with a willingness to give it a go.
Each group would average about ten participants.

The instructor to be conducting this workshop is Simon Woodward.
Simon Woodward is a HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered Art Psychotherapist and BAAT (British Association of Art Therapists) accredited private practitioner. He has had several years’ experience of providing art therapy in community adult mental health services through the NHS and third sector providers, and ten years’ experience of social care provision. www.arttherapywithsimon.co.uk
