My African Dream is a foundation created by friends Palesa Amadi & Valerie Sibanda. Being from the Southern African Diaspora we have a shared purpose of removing any obstacles that may deny a child the right to their education and freedom to be able to live out their dreams.
We have partnered with schools to ensure children are able to study without having to worry about clothes, lunch, sanitary towels, how to get to school or books!
Our 1st initiative takes us to a community called Moteti in Limpopo province, South Africa where we aim to raise awareness and reduce period poverty in the schools. All the money raised for our End Period Poverty‌ campaign will go towards buying reusable sanitary towels for 200 young girls in the community.
We will be travelling to South Africa to deliver the goods personally, and we’ll make sure to take plenty of pictures for you!
We will be looking at South Africa and Zimbabwe as a start with a Vision to grow across Africa! Help us to build a sustainable and successful Africa! Help us make Young people’s dreams come to life. The future of Africa is in your hands & they are the future!
Join us on the 16th of Feb at our event at artFix; on our mission to raise awareness for Period Poverty
